Disorienting empathy: Reimagining the global border regime through Mohsin Hamid's <i>Exit West</i>

This article explores how literature can sensitise us to our potential implication in the injustice and violence of global border regime. The borders today sustains a large economic political system that “produces precarity disposability, exposes migrants refugees harm exploitation, reinforces inequalities”. While it manifests itself direct events, policies, actions, produced by regime is structural, widespread, racially charged.
